Process Safety Engineer (EPC Jetty project)

up to IDR 20 Million per month

Requirement:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering within EPC Oil & Gas environments, leading the design, review, and supervision of process safety systems for jetty and marine infrastructure projects while ensuring full compliance with project specifications, international engineering standards and safety & quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Prior experience in jetty construction projects will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Develop, review, and approve critical Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation, including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, and safety case reports, ensuring all safety analyses are thorough and compliant with industry standards.  
  • Conduct detailed process hazard analyses to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and hazards, and recommend robust control measures to mitigate safety and operational risks effectively.  
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes such as API, OSHA, IEC, and ISO, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to embed safety considerations into all project phases, from initial design through execution, to promote a safety-first culture.  
  • Review and approve safety systems, emergency shutdown procedures, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), verifying their effectiveness and readiness to handle potential process safety incidents.  
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analyses related to process safety issues, providing expert insights to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.  
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections, deliver safety training and awareness programs, and participate in design reviews and safety meetings to ensure ongoing adherence to safety protocols and continuous improvement.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Good in English, both spoken and written. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
