HSE Manager (Expats)

Requirement:

  • Minimum of 15 years of HSE senior management experience in the oil & gas/LNG. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading complex brownfield projects or executing large-scale blanket contracts, demonstrating their ability to manage high-stakes operations efficiently. Experience in Papua New Guinea with ExxonMobil projects is highly advantageous, reflecting familiarity with industry standards and expectations.
  • Champion rigorous HSE risk assessments and controls on-site, ensuring both company and contractor teams operate with the highest safety standards, turning safety into a core value that drives operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic guidance, unwavering support, and expert mentorship to the site team, empowering them to proactively manage and elevate HSE performance across all activities.
  • Lead the seamless implementation of the HSE management system, conducting in-depth risk analyses, incident investigations, permit-to-work procedures, and advancing industrial hygiene practices to foster a safer work environment.
  • Actively cultivate a strong safety culture through impactful talks, engaging presentations, and innovative deployment of HSE tools, inspiring teams to embrace safety as a shared responsibility and a key driver of project success.
  • Possessing exceptional leadership skills to inspire and guide diverse teams, combined with outstanding communication abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels, and a sharp, proactive problem-solving mindset that anticipates challenges and drives innovative solutions.
  • Excellent in English, both spoken and written. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management or other related fields. NEBOSH International GC or CSP or equivalent preferred.
