Field Project Control Manager

Requirement:

  • Having more than 12 years of proven experience as a Project Controls Manager or as a lead managing a team of schedulers and cost controllers within oil & gas, petrochemical, civil works (roads/high-rise buildings/bridges) mining, geothermal, or power plant sectors. 
  • Lead and oversee the project control team, including planning and scheduling, cost control, quantity surveying, material control, progress reporting, verification of contractor work, penalties/back charges, and contractor close-out.
  • Ensure all project control systems and procedures are applied properly and consistently, including portfolio management, resource planning, schedule and cost control/forecasting, document control, and supporting contractors to improve project and resource management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to effectively manage and control project performance.
  • Experience in managing project budgets, preparing cost estimates, and performing cost forecasting and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring project objectives are met within scope, time, and budget.
  • Expert in creating and managing detailed project schedules with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, alongside extensive experience with project management tools and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a proactive and meticulous approach to project management, paired with strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, , project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Proficient in driving a manual car and possessing a valid, relevant driver's license.
  • Excellent in English, both spoken and written. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is required, with professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) considered a plus.
