SCM Category Specialist (Mechanical Equipment)
Contract
report to the Head of Category Management

up to IDR 25 Million per month
Requirement:
- Minimum 8 years of solid experience in rotating equipment engineering, leveraging deep technical expertise to define category strategies, evaluate suppliers, support sourcing decisions, and optimize procurement outcomes for mechanical equipment portfolios.
- Design and execute category-led sourcing strategies for mechanical equipment to drive measurable cost savings, supply continuity, and long-term value across CSCM procurement portfolios.
- Own end-to-end supplier management, including segmentation, performance governance, and strategic partnership development, while serving as the primary interface for day-to-day supplier engagement.
- Lead demand planning and sourcing execution, translating business requirements into competitive sourcing events, frame agreements, and robust negotiation strategies that maximize commercial outcomes.
- Leverage market intelligence and spend analytics to anticipate SCM market dynamics, optimize category strategies, and unlock innovative savings opportunities through data-driven decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement and value creation, applying best-in-class category management methodologies, structured negotiation packs, and innovative sourcing models to consistently achieve and exceed savings targets.
- Demonstrated Supply Chain Management expertise with strong capability in strategic sourcing and high-impact vendor negotiations, complemented by hands-on experience managing complex commercial projects and collaborating effectively across multiple business units to deliver value-driven results.
- Demonstrates resilience and sound decision-making, performing with confidence and efficiency in demanding, time-sensitive situations.
- Good in English, both spoken and written. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument Engineering, or related field.
